Q: Since The Village at Orchard Ridge is under construction, when will it be ready for residents?
We expect that residents will be able to move-in during the first quarter of 2013 with all levels of care (independent living, assisted living, memory support and skilled nursing) and all services available from the very first day.
-
Q: How do I reserve my home at The Village at Orchard Ridge and do you have a waiting list?
We are currently accepting 10% reservation deposits on our apartment and cottage homes. As we have a limited number of home styles remaining, a waiting list is expected in the future.
-
Q: With all of my housing options, why should I choose a Continuing Care Retirement Community?
Living in a continuing care retirement community (CCRC) is a way to free yourself from the chores and responsibilities of home ownership so you can spend more time enjoying the things you love to do. It’s also way to give your family the reassurance that you’re enjoying life, surrounded by friends and always close to any care that you might need. It helps you to be proactive in planning for your future; you avoid making a decision under duress should a health crisis strike. It also protects your assets and reinforces your financial security.
-
Q: What is the entrance fee structure of The Village at Orchard Ridge?
The Village at Orchard Ridge is a Fee-for-Service community, which means all services and amenities of independent living and priority lifetime access to our complete continuum of care – assisted living services, memory support, and long term care – are available right here on campus. Your monthly fee remains the same for all independent living services, and you only pay for services in the higher levels of care if and when you ever need them. Independent living residents pay a one-time entrance fee when moving into the community and a monthly fee.
-
Q: What is included with the monthly fee?
The monthly fee for The Village at Orchard Ridge’s independent living includes all of the maintenance in your home, all utilities, cable television, housekeeping, a flexible dining plan with a 90-day roll-over period, and access to the community’s services, such as the fitness center, local transportation, planned activities, library and more. The apartments also include a storage area conveniently located on each floor of the building for you to securely store personal items.
-
Q: With The Village at Orchard Ridge’s in-home health services approach, what services will be available in my home?
With traditional continuing care retirement communities, residents move as their needs change – from independent living, to assisted living, to nursing care. With The Village at Orchard Ridge, our approach is to provide health services in your home, from routine care to assisted living. Our goal is to help you stay as independent as possible in your apartment or cottage. We will also have memory support and skilled nursing neighborhoods with private suites for those who need or might choose a higher level of care outside of their home.
-
Q: Can we bring our pets?
Yes, we do allow dogs and cats in both the apartment homes and cottage homes.
-
Q: Are overnight guests permitted?
As The Village at Orchard Ridge is your own home, you are welcome to have overnight guests. They may either stay with you in your apartment or cottage or they may reserve one of our fully-furnished guest rooms for reasonable nightly rate.
