Future residents can now experience the community’s residential options for seniors
WINCHESTER, Va.- After months of construction and renovation, The Village at Orchard Ridge (TVOR), A National Lutheran Community, announced the opening of its new sales office at 320 Westside Station Drive, Winchester, Va. during its Grand Opening Celebration on August 30, 2011. The celebration, which featured a ceremonial ribbon-cutting and refreshments, had nearly 250 attendees including future residents, representatives from the sponsor National Lutheran Communities & Services and leaders from the local community including Randy Collins, President and CEO of the Top of Virginia Regional Chamber, Ellen Murphy, Frederick County Commissioner of the Revenue and several members from the Frederick County Planning Commission.
“With the opening of our official sales office, this brings The Village at Orchard Ridge community one step closer to reality,” states Melody Schneider, Director of Sales and Marketing at The Village at Orchard Ridge. “All of us at TVOR and National Lutheran Services & Communities (NLCS) are excited to be a part of this process, and bear witness to a moment in Winchester’s history.”
The new sales office, which was designed by Joan A. Pease of Partners in Planning, features a reception area, offices and conference room, a selection room and a fully-furnished, one-bedroom apartment. Included within the reception area is a virtual imaging video, created by Arnold Imaging, which provides customers with an opportunity to experience the TVOR community. The selection room, which houses samples of flooring and decorative options, gives future residents an area to touch and visualize the furnishings that will be in their apartment or cottage. Additionally, with the one-bedroom model apartment, future residents can take measurements and envision the layout of their furniture.
“In converting the former bank to TVOR’s sales office, we wanted to create a welcoming environment, and a space where staff would be able to meet with future residents and display housing and furnishing options,” states Joan A. Pease, Principal at Partners in Planning. “To accomplish this, the reception area is designed to feel as if you’re walking into a living room, and all throughout the office customers will find various images of The Village at Orchard Ridge.”
Additionally, as a part of its new resident package, TVOR has partnered with Valley Health Wellness and Fitness Center at 410 Campus Blvd., Winchester, Va. 22601 to offer its future residents a discount of 38 percent off the membership cost. TVOR also has plans to add 20 more cottages to the development of its Phase I, which is scheduled for completion early 2013.
