The Village at Orchard Ridge Celebrates Autumn with its First Annual Fall Harvest Festival

City-wide pumpkin decorating contest held at senior-living community

WINCHESTER, Va. - In celebration of the autumn colors and aromas, The Village at Orchard Ridge (TVOR), A National Lutheran Community, hosted its First Annual Fall Harvest Festival on Friday, October 21, 2011. The family-friendly festival was attended by 50 residents of the greater Winchester, Va. area.

“At The Village at Orchard Ridge, we believe in the importance of community,” says Melody Schneider, Director of Marketing at TVOR. “We look forward to hosting more events like these where generations of families and friends can interact and enjoy one another.”

During the event, attendees enjoyed warm apple cider, cornbread and chili dogs while touring The Village at Orchard Ridge’s Sales Office and participating in the pumpkin decorating contest. Sisters, Sophie McAllister, age 6, and Tess McAllister, age 5, of Winchester, Va. won the inaugural pumpkin decorating contest. The winners received a Wal-Mart gift card.
