As a National Lutheran Community, The Village at Orchard Ridge is a not-for-profit Continuing Care Retirement Community in Winchester, Virginia. This means all of our financial resources are invested in residents and the communities where we live and work. Because we don’t owe anything to shareholders, we can focus solely on our mission: NLCS honors, inspires and supports choice and opportunity in partnership with older adults.

What does this look like in practice?

• Peace of mind for residents: Because older adults living in our community are the only reason we exist, our focus is on you, not on our return on investment. While not-for-profit organizations do need to make money to operate, the money you spend with us is directly invested in the maintenance and operations of our community. Our financial resources are here to serve you — through opportunities, exciting events, and upgraded amenities, after paying for overhead.
