NLCS Receives Home Care License in VA

National Lutheran Communities & Services’ (NLCS) was granted licensure from the Commonwealth of Virginia’s Department of Health on Dec. 31, 2013 to begin providing in-home health services to seniors. myPotential at Home—A National Lutheran Service will begin its first phase of offerings in March 2014 on the campus of NLCS’ newest retirement community.
Residents at The Village at Orchard Ridge—A National Lutheran Community in Winchester, Va., will be among the first to avail themselves of NLCS’ newest endeavor. NLCS, a faith-based, not-for-profit backed by 123 years of experience in senior living, will offer companion care and nursing services through myPotential at Home.
“We’re excited to introduce our first service into the National Lutheran family with myPotential at Home,” President & CEO Larry Bradshaw said. “We’ve had a strong presence in Maryland and Virginia with our retirement communities, but myPotential at Home will become the first, of what we hope will be many, services.”
It is anticipated that in late 2014, myPotential at Home will be made available to the broader Winchester and Staunton areas.
