The Village at Orchard Ridge Appoints Executive Director John Midolo

(WINCHESTER, Va.) – The Village at Orchard Ridge (TVOR), A National Lutheran Community in Winchester, Va., announced John Midolo as its Executive Director. With an expected opening of this community in 2013, Midolo will actively be involved in its development and operations.
Midolo has been a health care executive for the past 23 years and since March of 2008, has been the Chief of Operations with The Village at Rockville, A National Lutheran Community in Rockville, Md. He recently completed his Administrator-in Training Program to meet the requirements as a Nursing Home Administrator in Maryland and in Virginia.
During his 23 years in the health care industry he has held several positions including: Regional Director, Sheppard Pratt at Howard County, Columbia, Md.; Senior Vice President of Outpatient Services, Facility Management Associates, Roselle Park, N.J.; Director of Regional Operations, Northern Virginia Doctors Hospital, Arlington, Va.; Chief Executive Officer, Springwood Psychiatric Institute, Leesburg, Va.; Administrator for the Psychiatric Institute of Richmond in Richmond, Va.; and Assistant Administrator for Lake Hospital of the Palm Beaches in Lake Worth, Fla.
“I’m very excited about this opportunity to be involved on the ground-level of a new ministry and community of National Lutheran Communities & Services (NLCS) in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia,” Midolo said. “I’m proud to continue the great work NLCS has done serving seniors for the past 120 years.”
Midolo received his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from The University of Miami in Coral Gables, Fla., and a Masters of Science degree with distinguished academic achievement in Health Services Administration from NOVA Southeastern University, Friedt School of Business and Entrepreneurship in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
He is a member of the National Association of Mental Health Administrators and a former member of the Winchester, Virginia Rotary Club.
“With John’s humor and can-do approach to his work, we know the residents at The Village at Orchard Ridge will enjoy getting to know John in his role as the Executive Director, just as the residents have known John as Chief of Operations for the past few years at The Village at Rockville,” National Lutheran Communities & Services CEO Larry Bradshaw said.
